What is TM

The Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique is the program for the development of consciousness founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. The TM technique is a scientifically verified way to effortlessly relieve stress, gain inner peace, and promote mind-body health. The technique effortlessly allows your body to gain deep rest while your mind transcends—settles inward beyond thought to the most silent peaceful level of the mind.

The TM technique is practiced for 20 minutes twice daily while sitting comfortably with eyes closed. Easy to learn and simple and natural to do, the technique doesn’t require any concentration or effort, belief, special diet, change in lifestyle or religion.

The Transcendental Meditation program is unique in its profound results and universality—anyone who can think a thought and follow simple instructions will be able to do it and gain the benefits. The practice produces a broad range of scientifically verified results, including significant benefits to brain functioning and heart health.

The TM technique is taught in a series of seven simple steps by certified teachers through our women’s non-profit educational organization.
